Diplo is a man of many talents, and there’s no genre of music he hasn’t touched. Following his recent dabble in country music, the DJ/producer looked to his roots for his next project, his very own house music label called Higher Ground. The label launched with a double-single release from Walker & Royce entitled “Rave Grave,” followed by “Time & Freedom” by Portuguese/Angolan producer DJEFF.
For his latest, Diplo has teamed up with French producer Born Dirty for their first-ever collaboration and his first release on his own label. Check out “Samba Sujo” below.
The Portuguese phrase Samba Sujo translates to “Dirty Samba” in English and that’s exactly the kind of vibe Diplo and Born Dirty have conjured up in this track. Featuring Afro-Brazilian drums and Portuguese vocals, “Samba Sujo” is a Carnival-ready hit that’s impossible not to dance to.
